Scuba Diving at Catalina is one of my favorite duve locations at depths of 35 to 120 ft deep. The variety of see life and water currents are a challenge worth the experience. Wearing aK 7MM wet suit and mask snorkel, tanks, weight belt and Fins complete the necessesary scuba gear. I habe finally completed the medical operations advised by the surgeon for completion of the automobile and motorcycle accidents treatments necessary to correct my issues of concern.

Moving from Huntington Beach, to Brea to help grandaughter with lodging for her first college semester at Fullerton College. She will start in June. We are 5 miles from the school in Fullerton. I was riding the motorcycle Northbound on Beach blvd. In the number two lane just after turning in the keys when instantly I was getting up fron the pavement in the middle of Beach blvd. A policeman was telling me to stay down. I spun around to see where I was. I was about at Edinger and Beach I believe. I was unconscious for the period of time it took law enforcement to arrive on site. I was told my bike was totalled as the ambulance pulled up to take me to Hoag Hospital ER. Hoag provided two shots of delaudid any released me. The driver provided personal information as did three witnesses who stopped traffic to avoid further injury. I rode in a cab home and then drove to new home in Brea.

Contacted Russ Brown the Motorcycle Attorneys to represent me on a contingency basis. Discovered the other driver may not have been insured. My motorcycle was totalled and never returned to me. It was first taken to Mandis Motors and stored there. The State Farm insurance company came and got it. The paid about $7000 for it. I used that money to pay dental bill.

Went to see Dr. Catou Greenberg at Pacific Family Medicine to get physical and Dr. Lee at Newport Orthopedic Institute for Orthopedic consult. Dr Lee believes shoulder will heal on it’s own 90% change AC Tear Dislocated Shoulder. All 8 points have been severed. He wants to see me in 6 weeks.

Went to see Dr. William Dobkin, MD Surgeon to have an Anterior Cervical Diskotomy and Fusion on C5-C6. I have picked up the cervical collars. Three were required, day, night, shower. My 80 20 co pay was $83.00. Parking was $8.00. Completed Surgical intake paperwork at Hoag Tech Center. EKG performed, Blood taken for testes. Scheduled for surgery Monday May 6, 2013 0900 1030. Should be in hospital one to three days. Recovery expected in approximately 6 weeks. That was the same estimate from Dr. Lee for the AC Tear. Recovery from the ACDF should take 6 to 8 weeks.

I also need to followup on the VA designation of permanent disability through Clinic A and PA Petrarca. Needs a doctor’s signature.

Applying salve to lower leg abrasions to keep wounds moist. Severe scrape injuries on both sides on the front shins about three inches below the knee. Left inside knee experiences chronic pain and weakness. Wearing velco knee brace for support. Twisting knee is very painful. Restricts a normal gate when turning.

Diabetic Neuropathy condition has intensified on the left foot and left leg. Ball of foot toward the toes and three middle toes are losing sensation. Sensation comes down through L4L5S1 to left buttock down left leg to bottom of left foot through to three middle toes tingling and numbness.

Diabetic HbA1C is in the 10 range. Blood test ran 349 last night. I take 1 unit Humalog for 10 units of blood sugar..For example, 10 units of Humalog drops me 100 unit on the meter within an hour. 25 units drops me 250.

I am experiencing PTSD car crash sounds sub-consciously while driving. I am extremely agitated while being tailgated or stopped on the freeway in traffic. I look to see if it is clear over my shoulder always thinking of my blind spot. I restrict my driving to medical appointments, food, and gas. Extremely agitated in high traffic bumper to bumper conditions. I have been involved to rearend auto accidents since the 1980’s as a field engineer driving 1000 miles a week working 60 – to 80 hours a week. Though I spend much less time on the road, I am still a target.
